These spirits were …
These spirits were looking for someone to help them they can not pass over because they had traumatic unresolved issues keeping them there and they needed the help of a little boy to help them pass over. A child has a very open mind a special aura where as adults tend to be skeptics closeminded and block out any potential to draw spirits to them.

Is this the scene in the living room? Becuase if you watching it again and really closely, you realise that she is only talking to cole and he is only talking to cole, the mum just thinks that the boy is seeing ghosts again, so she doesnt think anything of it. x
