I love this movie! The story, cast, and soundtrack all fuse together in a positive portrayal of a relationship not based on gay stereotypes. There are a number of us out there who live our lives in similar situations. Finally, someone put together a film that got it right.

There are still …
There are still homophobic people in the West too. Actually, majorly so down in the south where I live.
If I’m not mistaken, Hong Kong’s homophobic stems from conformity and doing what society expects. Over in the West, ours is mostly from religious bigots.
I have a feeling Hong Kong will accept gay people way before the South will over here in the US. I mean, Texas just decriminalized sodomy only a few years ago.

I’m from Hong Kong …
I’m from Hong Kong andi i just watched this movie for twice….the story is simply touching, inspirational…and it has a sweet ending
one thing that i appreciate is that this movie did not involve those erotic scenes as a gimmick…=P
sometimes i was jealous of foreign fags…the people in western countries’re open-minded and understanding…..but in the place like hong kong, there’re still a lot of people are homophobic

I’m a straight woman and don’t think two guys kissing is weird at all. Love is love. So please, don’t go “like every other person” just to prove yourself right, this is a pathetic attitude.
September 16th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
“I like every other …
“I like every other person find two guys kissing each other extremely weird” - that may be your opinion but please don’t speak for everyone else. I’m straight and I can assure you I don’t find 2 guys kissing (or 2 girls for that matter) in the slightest bit weird. Love is beautiful wherever you find it. Glad to hear you liked the movie though.

“I like every other person find two guys kissing very wierd” wtf, thats called a false concenses and although the comment was trying to be nice, it just reitterated that straight people feel like they are standard
